Sneak Peek
Be one of the first to see our new facility!
We would like to invite you to preview your new YMCA on
Friday, February 17th at 6:30 pm.
This event will be used to kick off our annual Strong Kids Scholarship Program.
This scholarship program ensures the Y does not turn kids or families away who do not have the
ability to pay for membership and program fees. This event will be catered by Michaels'
who is donating heavy hors d'oeuvres and drinks.
Tickets are $50 each and 100% of all proceeds, including all ticket sales and silent auction,
will go directly to our Strong Kids Scholarship Program.
You can purchase tickets at either
of our current locations.
We hope to see you there!

$500,000 gift to “New Beginnings” Capital Campaign
The Champaign County YMCA announces anonymous gift of $500,000
The Champaign County YMCA announces two major gifts in support of capital campaign
The Champaign community continues to show its support of the new Champaign County YMCA through an anonymous gift to the New Beginnings Campaign.
An anonymous donor has given $500,000 to the building of the new YMCA. While the donor has chosen not to reveal their identity, they have shown their commitment to the kids and families of Champaign with this generous gift.
In addition, the private donors that have challenged the community will match this gift and match it! This gift will be matched by the private donors Community Phase Challenge. The temperature on the Y thermometers around town and on North Prospect will be raised on Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. We will officially be at 15 million dollars.
This anonymous donor to the Community Campaign will join the visionary leaders who made the first gifts to the New Beginnings Campaign. This new facility is scheduled to open the first quarter of 2012.
To find out more about how you can participate in the New Beginnings Community Campaign, contact Heidi Cordes at Heidi@ccymca.net or visit ccymca.net
